Financial aid is a term used to describe any source of student assistance that is awarded to help a student pay for their college expenses. These funds are generally based on financial need and include:

Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
Students and parents are required to sign up for a FSA ID, made up of a username and password. Your FSA ID is used to confirm your identity when accessing your financial aid information and electronically signing your federal student aid documents. This is replacing the pin number that has been used in the past. Learn more about the FSA ID here.
